THE IMPORTANT DETAILS
Our Summer Musical Theatre has LIMITED ENROLLMENT for 8 years old through adult. Registration closes when all spaces are filled or rehearsals start.
You may pay by cash or check. Please make your check payable to Coastal Act Productions or CAP. Your registration is not complete until we receive your online registration forms with payment. You may mail them to us at PO Box 546, Newport, OR 97365. We will send you an email confirming that we have received your payment. You can also email us as email@example.com to drop off payment with us or arrange to pay the first day!
$295 per youth participant
Sibling discount: $250
Parent Participants: Our regular $35 fee if you want to join in this year!
Tickets to see the show: $10, plus PAC ticketing fee (buying at the box office is slightly cheaper, but less convenient than online)
We will have auditions by video recording. This is an opportunity for us to hear everyone sing and speak, so that we can properly place you into roles/ensembles before camp. Please record yourself (on your phone is fine) and email it to us, or share it with us on Google Drive at firstname.lastname@example.org
If you don’t audition, no worries, we will still place you in the ensemble. All audition submissions are due by August 2nd. If you register after that date, you will not be eligible for a principal role, as we will have cast the principals already.
Don't stress too much about auditions. Just do your best to enunciate and be clear in your speaking and give it some personality!! Click here for audition sides

Tights: We usually need these, but maybe not everyone in this show, so stay tuned.
There is a possibility you will be asked to provide black clothes to wear under a costume. (Shirt/pants or leggings).
CODE OF CONDUCT
We expect good behavior from all participants. It is important that you read and understand our CODE OF CONDUCT in the online forms. You will sign saying that you have done this. We are not a babysitting service. We are producing a play together. You must behave in a respectful manner, or you will lose your place. We want EVERYONE to have a great time!
No refunds will be given for being removed from Summer Theatre.
We will not be able to have a regular "first day meeting" this year, due to COVID protocols, but on the first day we will meet with you briefly in the lobby area during drop off. We will answer questions and give a little first day info at this time. Parents may not “hang out” at camp. If you would like to be at camp, ask us for an assignment or responsibility and we will see what we can do to accommodate you. Having groups of adults hanging around is disruptive to our working environment and distracting for the kids. Mostly because it creates side conversations and more noise. As you can imagine, it is noisy enough with all of our actors! Plus, this year COVID prevents us from having extra people onsite during the day.
COVID STUFF (We wish this wasn't a thing, but alas....)
First of all, all of the adults working on the production of the show are vaccinated, just to put that out there from the start. We hope that you are too!! We encourage everyone to get vaccinated as soon as you are eligible. We want our theatre life to return to normal as soon as possible!!
Oregon strongly recommends that all unvaccinated individuals wear masks. You are also welcome to wear a mask during rehearsals, if you are vaccinated, if you feel more comfortable doing so. There is a possibility this will change for rehearsals (meaning that masks may be required during rehearsals for everyone, based on City of Newport mandates…we sure hope not!!). However, we will not be wearing masks for dress rehearsal or performances. If this is a deal breaker for you on stage, we invite you to participate as an audience member! We need those too!!
Temperature checks will be taken daily and everyone will sign in, including adults, to aid in contract tracing if needed. Only those participating in or working on the show will be allowed in the building during rehearsals.
You cannot be on the premises if you have any of the following symptoms: fever, new cough, shortness of breath, or loss of taste or smell. We ask you to report to us if you or anyone in your home is exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. We will notify Lincoln County Public Health, the local health authority, if there are any confirmed COVID-19 cases among participants or production staff.
If anyone associated with our show tests positive for COVID, the entirety of the event may be cancelled. We will all have a lot of resources, both time and money invested in this event. Cancellation will be devastating to everyone. Please follow the COVID protocols, wash your hands often, and let’s all stay healthy!!
